It’s the final day of the campaign; we can't quite believe it 😮 Thank you to all of your for being part of the journey; let's get stuck into today's update!
📊 Vulture Naming Poll
Thank you to all of you who voted in our poll; we’re pleased to announce that the name of our adopted vulture is… Michael Keaton?
Some of you may be a little confused by this (as was I), but Matt kindly explained to me that actor Michael Keaton (perhaps most well known for his roles in Tim Burton’s Batman or Beetlejuice) played Vulture in Spider-Man: Homecoming and Morbius.
So… Michael Keaton it is! 😄
🏁 Final Stretch Goals + Mystery Unlock
We had so many new backers overnight that one of the stretch goals we had lined up for today was unlocked before we even got to the office! It was the deluxe Bestiary upgrade; instead of a cardstock sheet, the information will now be presented as an easy-reference, tabbed, spiralbound tome:

🎨 Painted Miniatures
We’re very excited to share some fantastic videos from painter and long-time Terraria fan Gaweł! We sent some prototype 3D-printed miniatures (non-modular ones) to Gaweł and we were not disappointed with the results! Check out the amazing airbrush skills on display in the videos of King Slime and Brain of Cthulhu below, and follow Gaweł over on Instagram @gawegame as he shares the rest of the videos over the coming days!

Final 48 Hours! GameTrayz + AMA Answers + Rulebook Update + Vulture Naming Poll

Hello Terrarians! 🌳
It’s official; we’re about to move into the final 48 hours of the campaign; Kickstarter has switched from counting down in days to counting down in hours which means we’re almost at the finish line 😊 It’s been an incredible few weeks; thank you so much for being part of the journey!
📤 GameTrayz Early Renders
We’re very excited to have received some early renders of the game’s GameTrayz inserts; these will be used to organise everything nicely in the box and to make setup easier.
Below is an early example of a boss box (these will hold the cards, miniature and tokens for each boss) and the enemy token tray. We’ll be changing the colours of these trays and adding details such as embossed icons and artistic flourishes, but we wanted to share these with you as they are a significant upgrade from the handmade trays in the gameplay video!
The remainder of the trays are currently being designed (card trays, player setup trays, biome tile trays and more); all of them will continue to be improved and changed based on the final component counts and shapes, but we’re confident that they are going to make setup and storage of the game a satisfying experience!
📖 Rulebook Update
We’ve just updated the game’s rulebook based on feedback from the community; you’ll find the latest version here.
Thank you so much to everyone who has taken the time to give it a thorough going over and to share their suggestion with us. We’ve actioned most of the points raised; a few need a little more time to address but rest assured we’ll be taking all of them into consideration. The rulebook continues to be a work in progress document, and will be improved until we go to print to ensure it’s as good as it can be. We’ll be adding the component images, additional diagrams, an index, glossary and quick reference section, as well as putting it through additional rounds of external editing.
Thanks to those of you who were able to make it to our AMA over on the official Terraria Discord server on Monday. We had a great time answering questions from the community; if you didn’t manage to join you can still read all of our responses here.
📊 Vulture Naming Poll
We had loads of suggestions for the name of our adopted vulture; we have chosen our favourite 10 and you can now vote here. The poll will close in just under 24 hours and we’ll announce the winning name in tomorrow’s update!

We hope you had a lovely weekend 😊. As always, thanks for helping each other in the comments; we really appreciate it! It might be the final few days of the campaign, but we’ve still got lots to share with you, so let’s get stuck in 👀…
🎨 Cenx Set Art + Additional Developer Set Sketches
We’ve now unlocked all of our developer set vanity cards! Here is Cenx’s Dress Set in all its painted glory, as well as the sketches for Grox the Great, Leinfors, FoodBarbarian and Safeman’s sets:
✨ New Stretch Goals Unveiled!
You absolutely obliterated our Boss-themed stretch goal sprint! 🤯 You did so well, it’s given us the chance to squeeze in some more deluxification before the big finale! We’ll be revealing a couple of these extra stretch goals at a time over the next 48 hours (followed by the final stretch goals). Here are the first 2:
Oooo; squidgy! You'll be able to use this fun piece instead of a wound token when tracking progress towards summoning King Slime!
🔓 Vulture Adoption
They might not be the cuddliest of creatures, but vultures need our love too; today we achieved our desert-themed social goal, so we’ll be adopting a vulture from the Hawk Conservancy Trust. They are a UK-based charity that run the International Vulture Programme (an initiative that focuses on the research and conservation of vultures) and the National Bird of Prey Hospital (where sick, injured or orphaned raptors are cared for and rehabilitated).
This also means that it’s that time again; we want to hear your names for our adoptee! Let us know in the comments 😊

In our last update I (Chris) forgot to include the gallery of contest entries. I’m very sorry about that; here it is! Thanks again to everyone that took part; it was very difficult to choose our winners, and we think you'll understand why:
💥 New Stretch Goal Sprint Revealed: Boss Blast!
We know that many of you have been wondering what stretch goals lie beyond the developer sets; we’re excited to reveal another stretch goal sprint, this time for Bosses! It includes the rest of the foiled boss cards, as well as more sculpted versions of boss-spawned enemies 😊
After this sprint, there will be a set of ‘finale’ stretch goals, which will be revealed next week.
Just so you know, we are going to add all funds raised in BackerKit (after the campaign) to the total that we count towards stretch goals too, so we have the best chance of hitting every single one!
📖 Rulebook Feedback
Thank you to everyone that has provided feedback on our rulebook; we really appreciate it and we’ll be incorporating it into an updated document which we’ll be uploading at the start of next week.
📅 Update Plan
We’ll be publishing our next update on Monday 17th June. We’ll then be publishing a daily update for the final 3 days of the campaign (Wednesday, Thursday + Friday). We’ve still got lots to show you!

🐝 Hive Adoption Is Go!
Yesterday, we blasted through our jungle biome-themed social goal, which means that we will be adopting a hive from The Hive Much Birch, based in the UK. They promote natural beekeeping and provide apiaries simply as somewhere for wild bees to build their hives. They don’t harvest or sell the honey that the bees produce; they just want to support these incredible insects and the ecosystem that they are a vital part of. Thanks again to Jared for suggesting this great idea, and to all of you who got involved over on Instagram!

🏅 Build Contest Winner!
Thank you to everybody who sent in an entry for our in-game build contest. The challenge was to recreate the Paper Fort Games logo inside Terraria and we can tell that every person who entered put a huge amount of effort into their builds. We received entries fromalmost 30 different Terrarians and we were *very* impressed with the creativity on show. After lots of deliberation, we are delighted to announce that the winner of the Hellstone pledge is @Bobins16; congratulations! 🎉 We particularly loved the party vibe of this build, as well as the fact that minimap representation of our logo was given extra character by the NPC icons!
We’ll be reaching out directly to the winners before the weekend (via the same route as the entry was submitted) to arrange prizes.
📅 Discord AMA Date Change
Originally, we had had planned to do our Discord AMA (Ask Me Anything) tomorrow, but we’ve had to rearrange it to Monday 17th (we’ve updated the Community Calendar on the campaign page to reflect this). The AMA will be taking place over on the official Terraria Discord server at 1700 UK time / 0900 PDT / 1200 ET; we’ll send out an update shortly before with details of how to access it.
